This description outlines the responsibilities of a manager overseeing a business specializing in surveillance equipment and solutions. The role includes managing all key operational areas: department management, sales, shipping and receiving, project design and scheduling, project management, and manufacturing partnerships. The Manager will be lead contact for all clients and partners (manufacturers), as well as serving as the mentor for all employees. This position carries the responsibility of bidding and developing contracts, tracking of RFI's, Change Orders, Invoicing and Billing, and other management related to system installation or box sales. This position is under the direct supervision of the Business Operations Director.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
The task listed below represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary. Directly responsible for manager operations and supervision of the business unit, including building relationships with customers and facilitating projects/sales. Responsible for being our Subject Matter Expert on all things' surveillance, including various hardware, software, and other solutions that are directly or indirectly related to our offered services. Responsible for the overall revenue and profitability of this business unit, as well as keeping expenditure within budget parameters. Manage resources needed by the installation team, box sale needs, including inventory, tools, and vehicles. Directly responsible for budgeting for training, conducting, or coordinating training of team members within the area(s) of responsibility. Training includes core skills training, teamwork, guest service, communication, and all training required to be compliant with gaming regulations. Directly responsible for the development of team member competence and the reduction of team member turnover to improve operation and administrative efficiencies. Oversees the day-to-day management oversight for these four areas; maintains working knowledge of the Nez Perce Tribe Enterprises Human Resources and Finance Manuals; and ensures team member compliance with applicable tribal, state, and federal regulations, ordinances, and laws. Requirements High School Diploma or GED, and Bachelor's Degree required with Master's Degree preferred, or 10-years of Industry Experience. Ten (10) years of high-level management experience in business operations with strong background in understanding financial management, budgeting, expense control, implementation of business efficiencies, and successful business operations with experience in oversight at the high level preferred. Three (3) years of supervisory and staff management experience. Valid Driver's License with ability to be insured under the Tribe's policy. Experience in word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and internet software programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must be able to pass background check to obtain Nez Perce Tribal Gaming License. Must be willing to submit pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
