Job Summary
ST. ANDREWS LUTHERAN CHURCH
in Wichita KS is accepting letters of application for the position of Parish Administrator. This is a 20 hr/wk position with a great deal of flexibility in the actual schedule. The successful applicant will model their Christian faith as they present the face of the congregation to both members and the public. He or she would also possess general office skills and be skilled in the use of common data, word processing, and financial computer programs. As a self-starter, they would also need to show good people skills. The position begins May 4th, & includes a month of training with the current Parish Administrator. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities The successful applicant will model their Christian faith as they present the face of the congregation to both members and the public. He or she would also possess general office skills and be skilled in the use of common data, word processing, and financial computer programs. As a self-starter, would also need to show good people skills. Manage all administrative operations including creation of bulletins, correspondence, record-keeping, etc. to ensure efficient parish functioning. Proficient typist with high attention to detail. Oversee vendor relationships and handle procurement processes for supplies and services needed by the parish. Handle human resources functions such as onboarding new staff or volunteers, managing files, and ensuring compliance with policies. Oversee office management tasks such as filing systems, document organization, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Office experience involving multi-line phone systems, front desk operations, clerical tasks, and general administrative duties a plus.
