Full Job Description Title:
Religious Congregation Seeks Part-Time Administrative Staff Member Congregation Beth Shalom ("CBS"), a Jewish congregation in Columbia, Missouri, seeks a part-time (approximately 25 hours per week) Executive Administrator to assist with the smooth functioning of the Congregation. Applicants of any religious background are welcome.
Duties will include:
(1) administrative support for the Rabbi (the one full-time employee at CBS), including office work such as answering phones, relaying messages, ordering supplies, and helping with calendar, (2) supporting volunteers such as committee chairs and Board of Directors members with occasional logistical help, (3) maintaining the membership database, including adding new members and helping members use the database, (4) tracking and responding to communications (phone, mail, email, etc.) from members, employees, contractors, and others who contact CBS, (5) helping to prepare for religious services and special events, including Sabbath services and holiday celebrations. The Executive Administrator's weekly schedule will be determined in consultation with CBS leadership. Some schedule flexibility is possible as long as CBS' administrative needs are met. To succeed in this job, a candidate must have a positive attitude, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Prior experience with office computing (e.g., Word, Excel, Google Workspace) is desirable. To apply, please contact .
