- Max $72,463 DOE/DOQ Position Summary The position offers executive and clerical support to the County Manager and oversees and backs up the front desk position and ensures compliance with all County administrative and procedural requirements.
In addition, assist with Indigent Health Care claim processing. This position is under the direct supervision of the County Manager and the County Manager determines objectives, priorities and deadlines. This employee is classified as FLSA Exempt and uses own initiative and judgment to perform work in an independent and timely manner in accordance with precedents, established policies and procedures or directives given by the County Manager and may be tasked to relay and direct County Manager's directives to Departments Heads, Supervisors and employees. - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications or a related field required.
- Two (2) years of experience in an executive business environment required, three (3) to five (5) years preferred.
- Ability to transcribe material by tape, use proper English grammar in correspondence. Perform a variety of office duties involving various departments and personnel.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English oral and in written. Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
- One (1) to three (3) years of Management experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion on tasks and projects.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible with job assignments.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Typing speed of 55 words per minute or better preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential duties as listed below.
- Ability to work in the work conditions described below.
- Ability to work with the equipment, tools, and materials listed below.
