Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Executive Director to support the overall management and strategic direction of our organization, side by side with the current Executive Director as she transitions to a more senior role over the course of time. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, have extensive payroll experience, Quickbooks, hiring, scheduling, HR and California Labor Law knowledge, and a deep understanding of working with individuals with developmental disabilities. As Deputy Executive Director, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily operations, fostering relationships with our incredible staff and management team as well as the people we support. You will work side by side with the current Executive Director on every step as she mentors you and melds you into the Executive Director position. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Director in maintaining current policies, ensuring your seamless welcome to the culture and pace of our agency. Eventually oversee all senior management activities, supervise our admin and facilitator staff, hold monthy meetings, and ensure our services meet the highest standards of a state-funded organization. Provide mentorship for the management staff under you. Eventually manage relationships with our funding agency, our families, and the individuals we serve to maintain compassionate and productive interchange. Perform administrative functions including budgeting, financial planning, payroll, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility. Eventually perform all hiring and scheduling of a 24/7 care schedule with 23 support staff. Requirements You must reside within 10-15 miles of Novato, California. Proven management experience within social work, care, medical, educational, or behavioral health organizations, preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Quickbooks payroll systems HR expertise, hiring, resumes, ads, recruiting California Labor Law Demonstrated dauntless supervisory experience Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial oversight in service organizations. Strong organizational skills combined with administrative experience in managing an active environment.
