About the role We are hiring an Executive Director to lead the agency through state certification and into waiver operations. This is a real leadership role with authority over the agency's day-to-day operations, not a title on paper. You'll be joining early and helping build the systems the agency runs on. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of the agency's strategic plans Hold responsibility for day-to-day operations of waiver services Develop, review, implement, and revise policies and procedures Develop, implement, and maintain the agency's budget Supervise employees, sub-contractors, and volunteers, including performance evaluations Lead the certification process, including the enrollment packet and pre-service review Oversee compliance, documentation, and incident reporting Serve on the agency's human rights and behavior intervention committees Required qualifications These are set by Kentucky regulation (907 KAR 12:010) and verified by the state. A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, or a current Kentucky Registered Nurse license At least two years of experience in the field of intellectual or developmental disabilities At least two years of administrative experience in an organization serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, including: Developing, implementing, and maintaining an agency budget Developing, reviewing, implementing, and revising policies and procedures Supervising employees, sub-contractors, or volunteers, including performance evaluations Also required Availability to attend a required full-day state orientation (virtual) in early December, and to complete two online prerequisite training modules beforehand Clear criminal background check, registry checks, and negative drug screen Valid driver's license and auto insurance Preferred Experience at an SCL or Michelle P. provider agency, especially in a director, program manager, or QIDP role Experience with state certification or recertification surveys Familiarity with MWMA, Therap, and Kentucky waiver documentation
