Summary:
As the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services (VCAS), you will serve as the chief financial and administrative officer for the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS), providing strategic leadership for the university's business operations across our Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka campuses. You will join the Chancellor's executive leadership team, where your expertise in budgetary management and relationship-building will directly advance UAS's unique mission and its vital role in the Southeast Alaska economy. This is an opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio—from budget and finance to facilities and IT—while cultivating a culture of respect, belonging, and cultural safety within a collaborative university environment. About the position: Administrative Services at UAS is aprehensive division epassing budget, finance, grants and contracts, facilities management, student accounts, procurement, and information technology. The VCAS is responsible for leading long-range fiscal and capital planning, debt management, and auxiliary operations across all three UAS campuses in collaboration with the chancellor and internal leadership, with the primary office located in Juneau. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to drive innovation and performance management while serving as a key advocate for the university through system-wide collaboration. You will lead a dedicated teammitted to providing high-quality services that support our students and the broader educational mission of the institution. To be successful, you must possess a collaborative, collegial management approach and the ability to inspire constituents toward a shared vision for Administrative Services. We are looking for a leader with unimpeachable integrity and a transparent, approachablemunication style that resonates with internal and external stakeholders from various backgrounds. - Bachelor's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in budget and finance.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a full-time, executive management, exempt staff positionplete with both apetitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generouspensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
