Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Foster Care Director, the RFA & Placement Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, analytic, and program support to ensure the effective operation of Tapestry Family Services' Foster Care Department. This position oversees the Resource Family Approval (RFA) process and provides direct supervision and support to all approved and prospective resource families. The Coordinator is responsible for managing foster placement activities, including receiving and reviewing placement referrals, assessing child and family needs, matching children with appropriate resource homes, coordinating placement logistics, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring timely compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements. In addition to placement coordination, the RFA & Placement Coordinator analyzes program data, supports planning and development initiatives, prepares reports, and implements and monitors systems and procedures related to recruitment, approval, training, and retention of resource families. The role also contributes to administrative operations, personnel support, and staff development activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous program improvement within the Foster Care Department. The RFA & Placement Coordinator role involves travel using a vehicle to various Tapestry sites or other locations deemed necessary to fulfill job responsibilities. In the event a company vehicle is not available staff are expected to utilize their personal vehicles (mileage reimbursement provided). Other tasks may be assigned, based on department and/or business needs and the department supervisor's request.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATONS
Administrative Specialist III:
An individual who has 6+ years of advanced administrative experience Valid Driver's License for at least 2 years Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word), as well as JotForm and Adobe. Knowledge of the functions, principles and operations of public social service programs A minimum of three years of experience in the fields of health, mental health or social services, and/or education Highly organized with excellent time management skills Strong communication skills with proper spelling, grammar and writing skills. Public relation skills; the ability to be clear and concise, friendly, patient and accommodating in dealing with the public. Demonstrate sensitivity and awareness of the diverse cultural, religious, racial, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds of the local service population, with knowledge and experience in working with diverse communities through culturally competent, strength-based strategies. Detail oriented
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must clear background check with FBI, DOJ and CACI. Valid Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout, and required trainings post start date. Medical conditions of employment : Obtain TB Test and Physical at time of offer.
