SENIOR CENTER ADMINISTRATION COORDINATOR - WINDHAM HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
(SENIOR CENTER ) Willimantic, CT The Town of Windham seeks qualified applicants for the position of Senior Center Administration Coordinator. This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk @ $24.00/hr). This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical duties in support of the Human Services Department and Senior Center. Priorities for this position include providing excellent customer service to internal and external contacts, working with Town and Department software, and supporting the Department's communications, marketing, outreach, and operations. The position also has the responsibility for making secretarial, administrative, and work priority decisions. The work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill, and ability in secretarial, general administrative, and office procedures, as well as thorough knowledge of the Department's policies, organization, operations, and services. The position requires the exercise of independent judgment, confidentiality, initiative, and accuracy. Must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Secretarial Science; plus five (5) years of progressively responsible clerical or business experience, including public contact and at least three (3) years experience as a secretary with word processing responsibility; or in lieu thereof, an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, required. Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.
