Description:
Join the Iowa State University Foundation in our mission to engage our community, inspire philanthropy, and steward resources to advance Iowa State University and its impact on Iowa and the world. We are seeking an organized, service-oriented individual to join our strategic initiatives and engagement team.
Requirements:
This position will provide administrative support for the Iowa State University Foundation board of directors and board governance committees. Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the ISU Foundation board of directors and board governance committees through creating agendas, collecting and posting meeting materials electronically, taking and managing meeting minutes, and communicate regularly with board and committee members. Support supervisor in maintaining the governance matrix that drives both strategic and fiduciary content for each board meeting. Maintain the schedule for policies requiring board approval and manage file storage of current policies as well as other governance documents. Serve as product owner of the foundation's governance portal, managing the vendor relationship, setting up new users, and acting as point of contact for all users. Work with internal partners, like the events and communications teams, to plan and implement meeting communications and logistics. Coordinate the budget process for the strategic initiatives and engagement team, including using software to enter and monitor annual budgets. Provide administrative and project support for various responsibilities of the vice president of strategic initiatives and engagement. Crosstrain and serve as backup for other administrative coordinators on the team. Qualifications Education & Work Experience 7 years of work experience related to employment area. Education may be substituted for years of work experience. Desired Skills & Experience Strong skills in creating PowerPoint/Canva presentations and drafting professional business correspondence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software and AI tools like Copilot. Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy. Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
