EmPower Treatment Center is looking for a dynamic, experienced, highly organized Administrative & Revenue Cycle Coordinator who believes in recovery and wants to be part of a team that is changing lives. This is not your typical front-desk position—and it isn't strictly a back-office billing position. We're looking for an all-around administrative powerhouse who can manage revenue cycle responsibilities, credentialing, insurance issues, front-desk operations, client communication, and the hundred little things that keep a busy treatment center moving. The Role The Administrative & Revenue Cycle Coordinator plays a key role in both the client experience and financial health of EmPower Treatment Center. You will help streamline administrative operations while supporting an efficient revenue cycle—from insurance verification and billing to claims follow-up, credentialing, collections, and front-office operations. This position works closely with leadership, clinicians, clients, insurance companies, and referral partners to make sure information is accurate, claims move efficiently, providers remain properly credentialed, and clients receive the support they need. What You'll DoRevenue Cycle, Billing & Insurance Coordinate key aspects of the revenue cycle, including client registration, insurance verification, billing, claims management, collections, and follow-up Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using billing software, payer portals, and our EHR system Review clinical documentation and billing information for accuracy and completeness Work rejected, denied, delayed, and unpaid claims and take appropriate corrective action Monitor claim status and follow through until issues are resolved Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage Assist with prior authorizations and payer requirements when applicable Maintain accurate records of claims, payments, adjustments, corrections, and collections Communicate professionally with insurance companies to resolve billing and coverage issues Identify recurring billing issues and help develop solutions that improve revenue-cycle performance Stay current on payer requirements, healthcare billing practices, and applicable regulations Credentialing & Provider Enrollment Manage and assist with provider credentialing, enrollment, recredentialing, and payer requirements Maintain organized and accurate credentialing records Track licenses, certifications, payer enrollments, renewals, and expiration dates Follow up with insurance companies and other entities regarding credentialing applications Help ensure new providers are credentialed and enrolled as efficiently as possible Maintain communication with leadership regarding credentialing status and potential issues Front Desk & Client Experience Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for clients, families, referral partners, and community professionals Answer incoming calls and help connect people with the appropriate services Assist with client intake, scheduling, paperwork, and registration Help clients understand insurance and administrative requirements in a clear and respectful way Coordinate incoming referrals and maintain communication with referral sources Greet clients and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and respect Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information Help ensure the front office is organized, responsive, and running smoothly Administrative & Team Support Work within our EHR, payer portals, Microsoft Office, and other administrative systems Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation Communicate with clinicians, leadership, insurance companies, counties, corrections, referral partners, and other community professionals Assist leadership and clinical staff with administrative needs Help identify problems before they become problems Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Jump in where needed and support the overall success of the EmPower team What We're Looking For We want someone who is experienced, dependable, organized, confident, resourceful, and not afraid to take ownership.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous healthcare, behavioral health, medical office, billing, revenue cycle, credentialing, or similar administrative experience Experience with medical or behavioral health billing and healthcare claims processing Working knowledge of CPT and ICD coding practices and medical terminology Experience using medical billing software and EMR/EHR systems Experience with insurance eligibility and benefits verification Experience working denied, rejected, and unpaid claims Familiarity with credentialing and provider enrollment processes Strong Microsoft Office and general technology skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Exceptional attention to detail The ability to manage multiple responsibilities without losing track of the details The ability to analyze billing or claims issues and find solutions A strong understanding of confidentiality and professionalism Behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment experience is strongly preferred.
