Job Description Sam Tell is currently seeking a motivated, professional, and highly skilled Administrative Coordinator within our ever-growing Government Sales department. The ideal candidate will have distribution or manufacturing experience to support the Supply/Distribution division which services restaurants, hotels, schools, universities, state, local & federal government customers nationwide. This position is full-time, in-office, at our Farmingdale, New York location.
Essential Functions:
Process paperwork required for bid submission Follow-up and maintain records of bid results Follow-up on existing orders and communicate timelines to customers Create and maintain customer records by updating account information Sort, file, and maintain filing systems for efficient recordkeeping for easy retrieval Complete assignments and projects according to instructions Handle requests for information and data Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly reports Requirements Strong computer skills are required, being well-versed in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams ERP/Order Entry proficiency highly preferred and a major plus! Customer service, clerical and order entry experience required Associate degree preferred Solid organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills required Strong follow-up and planning skills Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing Excellent filing skills Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time-sensitive deadlines Willing to learn new processes and become an information source for Government Sales Possess a positive attitude and be a self starter Please note this is not an Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Billing position. We are looking for an Account Administrator with a strong Customer Service background. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
