Full Job Description About TFP:
The Formation Project is a non-profit based in Charleston, SC building a resilient community free from exploitation. The Formation Project serves survivors of sex and/or labor trafficking by providing safety, stability, and connection through case management, peer support, and legal services.
Job Overview:
The Administrative Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support across two core areas: coordination for the Tri-County Human Trafficking Task Force and donor/development support for The Formation Project. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can work both independently and in close partnership with the CEO. Key Responsibilities Task Force Administrative Support Provide administrative support for the Tri-County Human Trafficking Task Force, including scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing agendas, and maintaining meeting minutes and records. Coordinate communication among task force members and partner organizations. Maintain organized files and documentation related to task force activities, initiatives, and partnerships. Support logistics for task force meetings, trainings, and events as needed. Reporting Prepare reports under the direction of the CEO, including donor, grant, and task force-related reports. Compile data and content from various sources into clear, organized report formats. Support the CEO in preparing materials for Board meetings or funder updates as requested. Donor CRM & Data Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM system, including data entry, contact updates, and gift tracking. Organize and clean donor data to ensure consistency and accuracy across records. Generate donor lists, segments, and basic reports from the CRM as needed for outreach or reporting purposes. Grant & Donor Research Conduct research to identify prospective grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and programs. Research prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors to support cultivation and outreach strategies. Compile research findings into organized summaries for review by the CEO and development team. Donor Communications Support Assist the CEO with administrative tasks related to donor communications, including drafting correspondence, scheduling donor meetings/calls, and preparing materials for donor touchpoints. Support acknowledgment and thank-you processes for gifts and pledges. Help coordinate logistics for donor-facing events or meetings as needed. Qualifications (preferred, not required): Bachelor's degree 2+ years of experience in an administrative, executive assistant, or office management role Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and social media platforms Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism Self-starter who can manage competing priorities and deadlines A passion for social impact and a commitment to the organization's mission.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with major gift fundraising and corporate partnerships. Knowledge of event planning and logistics. Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Work Environment:
This role typically works in an office environment but may include occasional evening or weekend work to attend events or meetings.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
