Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Reinforcing Bar Shop Advisor & Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This vital role combines customer service excellence with efficient office management, ensuring smooth shop operations and effective communication with clients and team members. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and a proactive attitude.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, typically 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hours may vary depending on workload, and candidates must be willing to work overtime when necessary to complete daily tasks. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Advisor & Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This is a hybrid position that combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on shop support. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn a specialized role within our steel fabrication operation. This position plays a critical role in managing documentation, supporting shop operations, and ensuring customers receive accurate paperwork with every order. Key Responsibilities Manage and organize Certificates of Compliance for incoming reinforcing steel rebar shipments. Match mill certificates with the appropriate customer jobs. Prepare and assemble documentation for Bills of Lading. Perform accurate data entry using the ASA software system. Print production and shipping tags. Maintain organized job documentation and production records. Communicate professionally with customers in person, by phone, and via email. Assist with general shop coordination and administrative support. Work closely with production personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Qualifications Required Strong computer and data entry skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service experience. Willingness to learn a specialized position. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred 3-5 years of experience in a construction, manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial environment. Mechanical aptitude or construction experience. Overhead crane operating experience. CDL or tractor-trailer driving experience is a plus. Training & Development This is a specialized position that requires extensive on-the-job training . The training process is comprehensive and takes time to master. We are looking for someone who is patient, eager to learn, committed to developing new skills, and interested in building a long-term career with our company.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
