Job Description

Congregation Micah, a vibrant Reform synagogue serving Middle Tennessee, is seeking a full-time administrative coordinator. This person will manage day-to-day administrative work, support senior staff, and help keep our office organized and welcoming. We are looking for an intuitive, detail-oriented person with strong computer skills and a generous spirit. Main Responsibilities Welcome members and visitors, answer phones, and serve as a helpful first point of contact for the congregation. Provide administrative support to staff and lay leaders, including correspondence, reports, scheduling, and mailings. Maintain accurate membership records and assist with new member onboarding, account updates, billing, and Annual Support administration. Process donations and payments, prepare donor correspondence, and maintain related records. Maintain the congregational calendar and help coordinate meetings, membership events, and lifecycle events. Help prepare for holidays and services by coordinating materials, mailings, registration lists, and other administrative details. Keep office records and supplies organized and help improve administrative processes and software use. Skills and Requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Discretion and confidentiality in matters involving members and synagogue business. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a busy office environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Knowledge of the Jewish community, Jewish customs and rituals, and synagogue life is preferred but not required. Experience At least two years of experience in administration, event support, communications, or data management. Schedule Monday-Friday during office hours. Occasional evening and weekend hours during peak periods. Benefits Full-time salaried position with health insurance and paid time off, including holidays, vacation, and sick days.
Pay:
$44,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
