Contract-to-Hire A respected organization working closely with state and local government is seeking an organized and dependable Administrative Coordinator to join its Fairfax, Virginia team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong administrative foundation who enjoys working in a collaborative office environment and supporting a variety of organizational needs. This role will provide administrative, scheduling, office, and membership support while working closely with staff and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day operations of a busy professional office. Serve as a point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and general inquiries. Assist with calendars, meeting scheduling, conferences, panels, and networking events. Provide administrative support to senior leadership and staff. Assist with email correspondence and follow-up as needed. Coordinate meetings, schedules, and other organizational activities. Support membership-related administrative processes, including enrollment, documentation, and recordkeeping. Maintain accurate files, databases, records, and other organizational documentation. Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Assist with administrative projects and general office needs. Coordinate with staff, members, external partners, and other stakeholders. Help maintain an organized, professional, and efficient office environment. Take on additional administrative responsibilities as needed. Qualifications 1+ year of administrative, office, or related professional experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and dependable approach to working with staff and external contacts. Comfortable handling confidential information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business technology. Ability to follow established processes and learn new systems. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a small team. Previous experience supporting executives, membership organizations, or events is a plus, but not required.
