Overview The Goddard School of Herndon is seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both - Front office O perations and Classroom Management. You'll be responsible for growing our school's digital presence while also supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of our preschool. No two days are the same. One day you may be creating engaging social media content, planning a school event, or designing marketing materials. The next day you may be helping organize the front office, coordinating parent communications, or supporting school operations. We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, enjoys learning new technology, and takes pride in helping a small business succeed.
Assist with front office administrative duties. Prepare enrollment and tour packets. Maintain organized files and records. Support QA and licensing documentation. Order classroom supplies, groceries, and office materials. Maintain school bulletin boards, signage, and lobby displays. Assist with automation and process improvement projects. Help maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming school environment.
School Events & Team Support:
Assist with planning and executing major school events including: Spring Fling / Touch-a-Truck Fall Festival Breakfast with Santa Open Houses Parent's Night Out Scholastic Book Fair Organize staff appreciation and team-building activities. Provide classroom or kitchen support when needed. Assist with bus runs and other operational needs as necessary. Attend school events outside normal business hours as scheduled.
Marketing & Digital Communications:
Manage the school's digital presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms. Create engaging social media content, photos, videos, and marketing campaigns. Update and maintain the school website. Design flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials using Goddard's enterprise instance of Canva. Assist with email marketing through Constant Contact. Increase Google Reviews using SoTellUs. Manage marketing platforms like Medallia etc. Update digital displays, parent communications, and lobby TV content. Collaborate with the Owners on marketing initiatives and community outreach.
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in marketing, administrative support, customer service, or office management preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Comfortable using technology and learning new software. Experience with Canva and social media platforms is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the leadership team.
