Job Description
Church Engagement - Virginia Beach, VA Do you enjoy bringing organization and coordination to a busy team - and knowing that the work you do helps support ministry that reaches people in need? Operation Blessing (OB) is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to provide the organizational, administrative, and operational support that keeps our Church Engagement and related ministry activities moving forward. In this role, you'll help coordinate communications, schedules, CRM activities, reports, materials, events, volunteers, and follow-up while working with teams across Church Engagement, Volunteer Engagement, Global Disaster Response, and Major Donor initiatives. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB's Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ's name to meet physical and spiritual needs. The salary range for this position is $44,000-$46,000 annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements. What You'll Do Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support for Church Engagement, Volunteer Engagement, and other assigned ministry initiatives Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM, including constituent records, interactions, reports, and related documentation Coordinate schedules, communications, mailings, documentation, and follow-up to help the department operate efficiently Help plan and coordinate church engagement activities, conferences, volunteer initiatives, packing events, and other ministry events Prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, meeting agendas, event materials, and other resources to support department initiatives Coordinate materials, logistics, and administrative details for relief-load activities packing events, volunteer activities, and other ministry priorities Provide administrative and operational support for cross-functional and Major Donor initiatives as assigned Work collaboratively with churches, volunteers, donors, internal teams, and other ministry partners while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach What You Bring Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, particularly with data entry, reporting, and documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a variety of people Experience coordinating projects, events, schedules, communications, or other administrative activities Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software; strong working knowledge of Excel is required Experience working with a CRM or database system is preferred Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships with staff, volunteers, churches, donors, and ministry partners Flexibility and a willingness to adapt as ministry priorities and needs change Ability to work on-site at Operation Blessing's Virginia Beach office.
