Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
SUMMARY The International Banking Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day processes pertaining to the departments activities. Generally, functions performed have high monetary exposure and risk involving large dollar volumes.
Issues and Amends Import Letters of Credit.
Negotiates Import documents.
Issues Acceptance under Import Letter of Credit.
Issues Shipside Bonds and Airway Bill ReleasesProcess Import LC Payments and Ensures BA payments are processed on time, at maturity.
Advises and Amends Export Letters of Credit.
Negotiates Export documents.
Process Export LC PaymentsCancels Expired or Unused Import and Export Letters of Credit.
Import LC and BAs Monthly BalancingEnsures Outstanding Import LCs and BAs balance with GL Accounts and Sub-NotesMaintains Import LC Maintenance Files (Current RCEs, Continuing LC Agreements, Additional Information) Blackline Reconciliation of GL AccountsPrepares and maintains the Customer Profile FilesAssist with providing information and guidance to Import and Export ProspectsProvides training and ongoing support to the International Collections Specialist Assist with Standby LC operationsReview all
Provides, presents, and promotes The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
Assist the other associates in the department, as needed, to complete the daily work.
Other duties as assigned.
Understanding of Trade Finance structure.
Experience with Letters of Credit.
Knowledge and experience with Uniform Customs and Practices 500 and ISP 98.Knowledge and experience with Foreign Documentary Collection 200.A working knowledge of the International SWIFT System Other QualificationsMust be able to travel ten percent of the time.

Bachelors degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING
ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
