Pay ranges from $20-24 DOE.

Responsibilities:

Contact members by phone, email, and letter regarding delinquent consumer loan and credit card accounts Work with members to understand their financial situation and recommend appropriate repayment solutions Negotiate payment arrangements in accordance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements Document all member interactions and collection activities accurately within core systems Monitor assigned accounts and follow up on payment commitments Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA and credit union policies Escalate complex or high-risk accounts to management as needed Collaborate with internal teams to support overall loan servicing and risk mitigation efforts

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in finance, business, or a related field preferred Minimum of 1-2 years of collections experience, preferably within a credit union or financial institution Knowledge of consumer lending, loan servicing, and collections best practices Strong communication and negotiation skills with a member-first mindset Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion Proficiency with computer systems, loan servicing platforms, and Microsoft Office Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
