Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Mortgage Servicing & Payment Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing borrower accounts, ensuring timely payment collections, and providing outstanding customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage servicing, collections, or a related financial services field and will be comfortable handling sensitive financial information while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage mortgage accounts to ensure timely payment collection. Communicate with borrowers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding account status, payment reminders, and resolution of delinquencies. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or issues in coordination with internal teams and external servicers. Process and post payments accurately in mortgage servicing systems. Assist borrowers with payment options, ACH setup, escrow inquiries, and payoff requests. Document all borrower interactions and maintain detailed account notes for compliance and reporting purposes. Follow up on delinquencies and work with borrowers to develop payment plans or other solutions. Maintain knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations, company policies, and servicing procedures. Collaborate with other departments, including post‑closing, accounting, and investor relations, to ensure smooth account administration.
