This onsite position is ideal for someone with strong experience managing collection activities and maintaining positive communication with account holders while helping improve payment performance. The role offers a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week across Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the potential to expand.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day collection efforts for outstanding balances, focusing on timely follow-up and consistent account resolution. Contact customers by phone and email to discuss overdue accounts, secure payments, and document collection activity accurately. Review aging reports and prioritize accounts that require immediate attention to reduce delinquency levels. Maintain detailed records of payment arrangements, account status updates, and communication history within internal systems. Partner with internal teams and field locations as collection activity is centralized at headquarters from a broad network of sites. Investigate billing-related issues that may delay payment and work toward practical solutions that support account recovery. Monitor open receivables and escalate complex or sensitive accounts when additional review is needed. At least 3 years of recent experience focused primarily on collections. Background handling commercial and/or consumer collections in a high-volume environment. Working knowledge of credit and collection practices, account follow-up, and payment resolution procedures. Experience reviewing billing information and addressing collection issues tied to outstanding invoices or balances. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive account conversations professionally. Organized approach to managing multiple accounts, follow-up deadlines, and detailed documentation. Availability to work onsite in Westport, Connecticut on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 24 hours per week.
