You will also maintain an accurate accounting of patient account balances and generate and send out invoices to secure payment, while following up on past due accounts as well as verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors. Collections experience is a must .
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge of all billing rules and current fee schedules Being able to meet billing requirements on a monthly basis Patient Collections Monthly reporting Managing projects Respond to detailed questions from patients and payers regarding claims or account status Participate in all billing and collection related meetings to discuss new and on-going account resolution Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager
Skills/Requirements:
Experience using medical billing software. Experience working with multi-state Medicaid policies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Bilingual (English + Spanish) Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-directed with ability to work with minimal supervision Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience.
