$18.00 per hour, plus performance bonus. About Us Carmichael Financial is a finance company that services auto loans. We are looking for a dependable, detail oriented Collection Agent to join our team. Job Summary The Collection Agent is responsible for collecting on our auto loan portfolio, keeping accurate account records, and providing helpful, professional service to our customers regarding their loans. Responsibilities Contact customers by phone regarding past due auto loan accounts and work with them toward payment Accurately notate all customer accounts with call outcomes, promises to pay, and other relevant details Enter new loan information into the loan servicing system Answer customer questions regarding their loan balance, payment history, payoff amount, and account terms Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers in line with company policy Identify accounts that may require skip tracing and follow up to locate customers with outdated contact information Escalate accounts to management when appropriate, such as for repossession review or settlement approval Handle and document customer disputes, and route them to the appropriate person for resolution Maintain compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and all other applicable federal and state collections laws Meet individual and team collection goals and key performance metrics (contact rate, promise to pay kept rate, roll rate, etc.) Process payments and payment related paperwork accurately Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers, even in difficult conversations Work closely with dealership and finance staff on loan related questions Compensation $18.00 per hour base pay Monthly performance bonus tied to collection results (contact rate, promises to pay kept, roll rate improvement, etc.) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in collections, call center, or customer service by phone preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Comfortable with computers and learning new software; loan servicing or CRM system experience a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure Good organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate account notation Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage a high volume of calls
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
