Job Description

Do you have awesome customer service skills and the want and desire to help people? Do you appreciate being a problem solver? PJP Autos is looking for a collections representative who can help us achieve our company financial goals. This candidate will be responsible for reviewing each account to determine the best way to approach the customer and then executing the plan to help keep customers current, come up with and initiate plans for consumers with delinquent accounts, comply with and follow all provisions of the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act and all applicable state laws. Starting pay $17-$20 per hour plus bonus Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Communicates with customers by telephone and approved written correspondence to attempt to bring resolution to past due accounts Arranges for debt repayment and establishes repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations and company policies Provides thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates in customer database for all collection activity Uses policies and procedures to determine suitable collection solutions Performs skip tracing to trace delinquent customers to new addresses by inquiring at post offices, telephone companies, credit bureaus, and other approved resources Promotes the importance of making timely payments Uses intuition and experience to identify processing errors Sorts and files correspondence, and performs miscellaneous clerical duties Other duties as assigned
Experience & Education:
Self-motivated and ability to work under minimal supervision Must be able to work independently High School Diploma or equivalent Strong communication, problem solving skills, and negotiating techniques Ability to work in a fast paced environment Must be able to work every other Saturday Prior collections experience preferred but not required Benefits Paid benefit time off and paid holidays Medical, Dental, Vision, available Retirement Savings Plan 401k with company funds matching upon waiting period
