Key characteristics of the ideal candidate: Minimum of 2+ years of recent collections experience required Experience managing delinquent accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and collecting past-due balances Strong communication and computer skills Critical thinker with a customer-focused mindset Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities Skilled in fact-finding and attention to detail Demonstrates integrity and ethical decision-making Proven track record of success in collections Driven by performance-based, above-average earning potential Highly competitive and results-oriented Willing to work a full retail schedule (40 hours per week), including Saturdays Day to Day Responsibilities Resolve customer delinquencies while supporting customers in establishing or re-establishing credit through timely payments Achieve delinquency, charge-off, and overall collection goals Contact delinquent customers via phone, email, text, or, when necessary, in person to arrange payment Accurately document all collection activity using proprietary software Utilize computer systems and procedures related to collection activities Initiate contact with new customers to establish and build relationships Overcome objections, negotiate effectively, and drive win-win outcomes without using high-pressure tactics; provide solutions while holding customers accountable Actively listen to customers and recommend appropriate solutions Perform basic financial calculations, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages This position offers a highly competitive weekly and monthly bonus structure, comprehensive benefits, and a professional work environment where employees are respected and treated as professionals.
