Job Description

GLA Collection Co, Inc., has over 51 years of experience in healthcare collection industry. GLA Collection Company is seeking full time Bilingual (Spanish & English) Collection Representatives with great communication skills. Medical Collection experience is helpful however not necessary. We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to manage outstanding accounts receivable and support healthy cash flow by contacting customers regarding overdue balances. This role is responsible for maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring timely payment collection, resolving billing issues, and documenting account activity accurately. Collections is a fast-paced and rewarding profession. If you have been currently working in sales this may be the job for you. We offer Health insurance; dental, life insurance after a calendar month. After 1 year of employment we offer 401k. Excellent pay starting at $19.00hr for the first 90days then salary increase opportunity based on individual performance. Key Responsibilities Contact customers by phone regarding past-due invoices Investigate and help resolve billing discrepancies, payment delays, and account disputes Negotiate payment arrangements in accordance with company policies Maintain accurate records of collection activity, customer communication, and account status Escalate delinquent accounts when appropriate Ensure collection practices comply with company policy and applicable regulations Qualifications Strong verbal communication skills Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and tactfully Good negotiation and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Skills Familiarity with payment processing and dispute resolution Knowledge of relevant collections regulations and best practices Ability to analyze account history and identify collection risks Customer-focused mindset with professionalism and persistence Success Measures Reduction in aged receivables Timely follow-up on delinquent accounts Accurate documentation of account activity Successful resolution of payment issues and disputes Work Environment This is an on-site role in an office environment and requires frequent communication with consumers.
