At Advanz Credit Union , we believe financial services should be about more than accounts and transactions. They're about people. We're looking for a Payment Resolution Specialist who can bring confidence, compassion, and strong problem-solving skills to conversations that aren't always easy. You'll work with members experiencing delinquency, help identify realistic solutions, protect the Credit Union's interests, and make sure every interaction is handled professionally and respectfully. This isn't a role for someone who simply follows a script. We're looking for someone who can listen with curiosity, communicate with compassion, take ownership, and find solutions —all while delivering an exceptional member experience. Those qualities reflect Advanz Credit Union's core values of Care for All, Own the Outcome, and Exceed Expectations. What You'll Do Your primary focus will be helping manage and resolve delinquent loan and share accounts. About 70% of the role centers on day-to-day collection efforts, with additional responsibilities involving charge-offs, legal documentation, insurance matters, and member assistance.
You'll:
Connect with members by phone and electronic channels to discuss delinquent loans, negative share accounts, and available next steps. Review account information, payment history, credit information, and other resources to identify appropriate solutions. Document collection activity accurately and keep account information current. Process garnishments, tax levies, judgments, Collateral Protection Insurance matters, and other collection-related documentation. Assist with repossessions, bankruptcies, foreclosures, credit disputes, and related activities as needed. Process applicable insurance claims, including GAP and Debt Protection claims when needed. Perform skip tracing and use available resources to locate members when necessary. Work toward established collection and recovery goals while maintaining a professional, member-focused approach. Look for ways to improve processes, communication, effectiveness, and efficiency. Protect confidential member information and follow applicable Credit Union policies, procedures, security requirements, and regulatory expectations. You'll Be Great in This Role If You… Enjoy solving problems and don't shy away from difficult conversations. You know how to be firm without losing empathy , organized without losing sight of the person behind the account, and persistent while remaining professional. You'll also bring: 3 years of work experience , including at least 1 year in a financial institution A high school diploma or GED Knowledge of lending and collections practices Strong organization skills and the ability to manage a high volume of details Excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and discretion The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Dependability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude Why Advanz?
