Collections Specialist (1‑Year Contract) - Centralia, MO 65240
Pay:
$20/hr
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30
PM Hybrid:
Remote Monday & Friday; In‑office

Manage accounts, resolve issues, perform AR tasks, and communicate professionally with customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of accounts and prioritize daily work Analyze account trends, issues, and root causes Conduct weekly customer outreach and document progress Resolve account issues and negotiate within authority Perform AR tasks: reconciliations, credit holds/releases, statements, dunning, bad‑debt recommendations Handle customer inquiries, disputes, short‑pays, chargebacks, credit memos, and payment issues Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers Work independently and collaboratively Qualifications 2+ years Accounts Receivable experience 1+ year credit/collections experience preferred Understanding of AR processes (invoicing, aging, cash application) Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business preferred (or equivalent experience) JD Edwards experience highly desirable Basic-intermediate Excel skills (formulas; pivot tables a plus) Physical Requirements Standard office/computer work Ability to work hybrid schedule

$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
