Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM•4:00
PM Location:
In-office•Jamaica, Queens, NY (no remote available)

Job Summary:
Gotham Ready Mix, LLC is a trusted provider of high-quality ready-mix concrete solutions. We're looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable (AR) team. This role will work closely with the AR department to manage overdue accounts, resolve payment issues, and ensure a smooth collections process. We're seeking someone with strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of collections, and a willingness to learn. The Collections Specialist will manage a portfolio of accounts and work closely with the AR team to ensure timely collections. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and a team player who is eager to contribute to Gotham Ready Mix's financial success.
Essential Functions and Basic Responsibilities:
Reach out to customers regarding overdue accounts via phone, email, or mail to secure payments. Collaborate with the AR team to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies. Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to reduce overdue balances. Set up and track payment plans with customers when needed. Process and maintain accurate payment records in the system. Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts and resolve issues promptly. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports related to collections and receivables. Perform other administrative duties to support the AR team as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in collections. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. QuickBooks experience is required. Experience handling a high volume of accounts and resolving payment issues. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while being a strong collaborator with the AR team. Previous experience in the construction or ready-mix concrete industry is a plus but not required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
