As we continue to grow, and have recently expanded to Tonawanda , we're looking for a dynamic Collection Agent who thrives in a collaborative environment. Role Overview:
As a Debt Collector , you will be an integral part of a supportive, high-energy team dedicated to helping clients resolve outstanding balances while maintaining a positive reputation for the company. You'll handle inbound and outbound calls, work with customers to understand their situations, and provide clear solutions in a compassionate yet professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to share strategies, insights, and resources for achieving collective goals. We believe in teamwork and mutual support to tackle challenges and improve results.
Customer Engagement:
Initiate respectful and empathetic conversations with customers to understand their financial situation and find workable solutions for repayment.
Negotiation & Resolution:
Use your negotiation skills to set up payment plans, arrange settlements, or explore other viable solutions while ensuring both client satisfaction and company goals are met.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, agreements, and payments. Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal regulations.
Problem Solving:
Identify challenges, provide proactive solutions, and work with the team to continuously improve processes and results.
Continuous Learning:
Participate in training and development programs to stay up to date with industry regulations, best practices, and team protocols.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Previous experience in collections, customer service, or sales is a plus but not required. We value a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
