B2B Credit & Collections Specialist -
Temp-to-Perm Location:
Westbury, NY Job Type:
Temp-to-Perm Work Schedule:
Fully Onsite, Monday-Friday Temporary Pay Rate:
$35.00-$38.50 per hour, with flexibility for the right candidate
Permanent Salary:
$75,000-$80,000 per year About the Opportunity We are partnering with a growing company in Westbury, NY that is seeking an experienced B2B Credit & Collections Specialist for a temp-to-permanent opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong credit and collections professional who has experience managing a commercial customer portfolio, resolving outstanding balances, and driving timely payments. Construction industry experience is a major plus. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of B2B customer accounts and oversee the full collections process Monitor accounts receivable aging and prioritize collection activity Handle 30, 60, 90, and 120+ day past-due accounts Make collection calls and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve account discrepancies Escalate delinquent accounts when appropriate Research and resolve billing, payment, and account issues Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records Work closely with internal teams including Accounting, Sales, and Customer Service Prepare and analyze aging reports and collection metrics Use Excel to track, analyze, and report on accounts receivable activity Qualifications 3+ years of B2B credit and collections experience Strong understanding of commercial accounts receivable and credit processes Experience working with aging reports and collection escalations Proven experience collecting on accounts that are 30/60/90/120+ days past due Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively Professional, persistent, and customer-focused approach Preferred Qualifications Construction industry experience strongly preferred, not required Experience working with high-volume B2B accounts Experience with credit analysis, account reconciliation, and dispute resolution Compensation & Opportunity $35.00-$38.50/hour during the temporary period, with potential flexibility for the right candidate Opportunity to transition to a permanent position paying $75,000-$80,000 annually Fully onsite position in Westbury, NY Opportunity to join a growing organization and take on a key role within the Accounts Receivable/Credit & Collections function If you have strong B2B collections experience and are looking for a temp-to-permanent opportunity with long-term potential, we would like to hear from you.
