Job Overview •Bilingual in English & Spanish• No experience necessary, will train right individual. Resubmitting and seeking collections payments on paper HCFA claims for NON HMO provider. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Medical Collections to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding medical accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate medical records. Your expertise in medical coding, billing, and insurance processes will be essential in resolving billing discrepancies and facilitating smooth financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care while optimizing revenue cycle management. Duties Contact patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to follow up on unpaid or overdue medical accounts using various communication channels. Review and analyze medical records, billing information, and insurance claims to identify discrepancies or issues affecting payment. Utilize knowledge ICD-10 codes to accurately process claims and resolve billing errors. Collaborate with medical offices and billing departments to ensure proper documentation and coding accuracy for medical procedures and diagnoses. Maintain detailed records of collection efforts, payment statuses, and correspondence Negotiate payment plans or settlements with patients or insurance carriers when necessary while adhering to compliance standards. Stay updated on industry regulations related to medical billing, coding standards, and insurance policies to ensure compliance. Qualifications Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding and medical coding principles Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with patients and insurance representatives. Ability to analyze complex medical information accurately and resolve billing issues efficiently. Prior experience in a medical office environment is preferred; certification in medical coding or billing is a plus. Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
