Job Summary The Collections Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization by proactively managing receivables, reducing risk, and maintaining consistent cash flow. This role partners closely with customers, Affiliates, and internal teams to resolve payment issues, improve processes, and maintain positive, long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will communicate professionally and respectfully while encouraging timely payment and effective resolution of outstanding balances. Proactively follow up on past-due balances through reminders, outbound calls, and email outreach. Work with customers and Affiliates to resolve outstanding balances, including establishing payment plans and processing credit card payments when appropriate. Review aging reports and monitor balances against established credit and aging thresholds. Identify payment risks and escalate concerns as needed. Prepare and distribute customer statements. Monitor the Accounts Receivable team inbox and phone queue, responding to inquiries accurately and professionally. Support team collection efforts and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency. Research and resolve billing discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams. Manage credit holds and credit limits to help minimize financial exposure. Maintain accurate customer and Affiliate account records, including account updates and vendor setup documentation. Review and apply credits to outstanding balances to maintain accurate account statuses. Process refunds and deductions as needed. Assist with cash applications by researching and resolving unapplied payments. Assist with closing outstanding receivables when Affiliates discontinue their relationship with the organization.
Qualifications :
3+ years of B2B collections experience preferred. Previous Accounts Receivable and customer service experience preferred. Proficiency with Excel. #RJAF123
