In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound collection calls to customers with delinquent accounts, working to resolve past-due balances while maintaining a professional, respectful, and customer-focused approach. You will play a key role in supporting account resolution, minimizing losses, and reinforcing responsible repayment practices. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate sensitive financial conversations are essential to success in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Make outbound collection calls to customers with delinquent installment or title loan accounts to secure payment commitments and resolve past-due balances Communicate account status, payment options, due dates, and consequences of non-payment in a clear, compliant, and professional manner Negotiate payment arrangements and document promises to pay in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines Accurately document all collection activity, customer interactions, and account updates in the loan management system Adhere to all federal, state, and company collection laws and compliance standards (including FDCPA where applicable) Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and active listening when handling difficult or sensitive conversations Maintain a high level of organization and time management while working multiple accounts daily Utilize skip-tracing tools and available resources to locate and contact customers when necessary Qualifications Proven experience in medical collections, accounts receivable, or related finance roles with a strong understanding of revenue cycle management. Knowledge of consumer protection laws, financial regulations, and industry standards related to debt collection and compliance. Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and professionally in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with accounting or financial software is preferred. Strong negotiation skills combined with a customer service mindset to resolve disputes efficiently while maintaining positive client relationships. Basic math skills for account analysis, account reconciliation, debits & credits processing, and understanding financial concepts. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating attention to detail in all tasks. Requirements Previous experience in collections or call center required Customer service, or financial services experience preferred Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle challenging conversations calmly and professionally Ability to work delinquent accounts while maintaining a customer-respectful and solutions-oriented approach Strong computer skills and the ability to learn our loan management system Accurate data entry and documentation skills in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Knowledge of call center and collections best practices, including phone etiquette, compliance, and problem resolution Ability to remain results-focused and self-motivated in a performance-driven environment Bilingual abilities preferred Join us as a Collections Support Specialist where your communication skills and persistence directly contribute to customer resolution and company success.
