Job Description
Are you an experienced Occupancy Specialist with a strong background in Affordable Housing and Accounts Receivable ? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join a growing apartment community team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is knowledgeable in HUD and/or Tax Credit programs and enjoys keeping resident files accurate while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities Process annual and interim resident recertifications in accordance with HUD and/or LIHTC guidelines. Maintain accurate resident files and ensure compliance with all affordable housing regulations. Collect rent and manage accounts receivable, including posting payments, monitoring delinquent accounts, and following up on outstanding balances. Prepare notices and communicate with residents regarding rent payments and account status. Assist with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident inquiries. Work closely with the property management team to ensure occupancy goals and compliance standards are met. Utilize property management software to maintain resident and financial records. Qualifications Previous experience as an Occupancy Specialist in affordable housing. Knowledge of HUD, Tax Credit (LIHTC), Section 8, or other affordable housing programs. Accounts receivable and rent collection experience required. Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, MRI, or similar. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Us?
