Billing Specialist for Technology Business Accurate billing. Clear answers. Ownership from start to finish. Evolv I.T. is hiring a Billing Specialist to manage billing for our managed IT services, cybersecurity solutions, software subscriptions, equipment, and projects. We need someone who catches discrepancies, investigates what caused them, and follows through until they are resolved. You will help protect client trust, prevent missed revenue, and keep our billing process running on schedule. This is a full-time position in our Birmingham office. What You'll Do Prepare, review, and issue recurring and one-time invoices accurately and on time. Maintain approved client pricing, service quantities, billing schedules, and agreement changes in Autotask. Process additions, removals, renewals, and prorated charges according to agreement terms. Verify equipment orders, project milestones, billable labor, and expenses before invoicing. Reconcile records across Autotask, QuickBooks, and relevant vendor subscription reports. Identify unbilled services, equipment, and completed work, and coordinate resolution. Respond professionally to client billing questions and follow through on approved corrections. Follow up on assigned past-due invoices and document payment commitments. Maintain documentation for billing changes, credits, approvals, and disputes. Work with Account Management, Service Delivery, Sales, and finance to resolve discrepancies and improve billing processes. What We're Looking For Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related financial operations role. Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through. Experience reconciling records and researching discrepancies. Proficiency with spreadsheets, including filtering, formulas, and comparing data. Professional communication skills and confidence discussing billing questions with clients. Ability to manage deadlines and priorities without repeated reminders. Good judgment when handling confidential financial information. Preferred Experience Billing for a managed service provider (MSP), technology company, or subscription-based business. Autotask or another professional services automation (PSA) platform. QuickBooks. Recurring agreements, software licensing, prorations, and project billing. You do not need to be an IT engineer. You do need to learn our services and understand how client agreements translate into accurate invoices. How We Measure Success Invoices are accurate and issued by established deadlines. Approved agreement changes are reflected in the correct billing cycle. Billing questions receive prompt, professional follow-up. Unbilled work and discrepancies are identified and resolved.
