Under general supervision, this position is responsible for handling the largest and/or most complex accounts, and managing the efficiency and accuracy of the application of all charges for billing purposes. This position identifies and resolves issues regarding billing disputes or issues with the customer, (e.g. variances). This individual will be a subject matter expert with the ability to make time-sensitive decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and teach or train others.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statement billing and invoices including collection of missing or incomplete documentation to meet customer billing requirements and audit billed charges for validity
- Collaborate with management to coordinate processes on invoicing processes/payments
- Compile and construct data for customer notification reports and billing updates
- Develop instructions, guidelines, practices, and procedures to perform billing functions
- Work with internal teams to improve processes, discuss action plans, and/or contractual changes, and achieve organizational/department/team goals and objectives
- Train and mentor new employees
- Network and build relationships with both JB Hunt employees and external customers by responding to inquiries and complaints regarding accessorial billing processes, notifications, billing issues, etc. and identify root cause and solutions to issues
- Execute special projects to improve billing processes
- Act as team lead in absence of formal management
