Accounts Reconciliation Analyst II :
Monday- Friday:
Typical hours 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. No weekends or call. This position is based within
Jefferson Regional Patient Accounting Department Job Summary:
The Accounts Reconciliation Analyst II is responsible for correcting pre-claim edits, reviewing correspondence related to aged accounts for resolution, follow-up on billed claims with insurance companies, utilizing online resources, telephone and correspondence.
Accounts Reconciliation Analyst II Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or other related field preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2-year medical office or hospital clerical experience Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suites Must be able to trend and resolve denied or delayed claims Must be able to calculate expected reimbursement based on hospital contracts with payers and must be able to pursue underpayments Must be able to communicate with insurance companies and patients when needed
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with medical claims follow up and account resolution Knowledge of insurance allocation rules
