Attention to detail Medical billing CPT coding Medical claim denial management Full Job Description Medical Billing Specialist - Pediatrics (Gilbert, AZ) Desert Shores Pediatrics is a busy, well-established pediatric practice seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Gilbert, AZ . We're looking for a detail-oriented biller with strong insurance knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. What You'll Do Submit and follow up on insurance claims Manage A/R, post payments, and reconcile EOBs Resolve denials and submit appeals Research and resolve aging accounts to ensure timely reimbursement Perform insurance aging and account follow-up activities Assist with provider credentialing, recredentialing, and payer enrollment processes Maintain accurate patient accounts in the EHR Answer patient billing questions and assist with payment plans Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience, A/R follow-up, and insurance aging experience preferred Experience with provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and recredentialing Experience researching and resolving aging accounts and outstanding insurance balances Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding EHR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred) Strong attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills Billing/Coding certification preferred Why Join Desert Shores Pediatrics?
