With these goals and standards, we are currently searching for a self-motivated, optimistic, fun, upbeat & caring person who is passionate about dentistry and helping other people reach their full potential through a great smile. ______________________________________________________________________________ The Dental Biller role is unique in the sense that it is not a traditional front desk / patient facing position. You will be working in our back offices, prioritizing projects and other daily tasks. In this role, you will be responsible for all dental , oral surgery and orthodontic billing.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining current insurance practices, requirements & forms. Reviewing and sending claims with proper documentation and attachments. Submitting, processing and following up on insurance claims and prior-authorizations. Documenting and coding information while interpreting dental, oral surgery and orthodontic records. Entering in all orthodontic contracts while ensuring complete accuracy. Processing all EFTs and manual checks. Uploading explanation of benefits. (EOB) Processing all miscellaneous insurance correspondence received via mail and billing email. Monitoring claims that need more information, denials, etc. Processing auto-payments throughout each month. Investigating refund requests, final reviews and collections. Familiarity with insurance terminology, clauses & stipulations. Working the aging AR reports for both patients and insurances. Handling all incoming billing and insurance phone calls. Monitoring the billing email accounts. Completing daily tasks and requests in a timely manner. Effectively communicating with our other offices to retrieve all necessary information needed. ______________________________________________________________________________ We are looking for a candidate who: Has a consistently upbeat, positive & friendly demeanor Demonstrates the ability to learn and adapt quickly Has exceptional communication skills Is efficient with his/her time Has outstanding written and verbal skills Is receptive to feedback Possesses a keen eye for detail Is able to multi-task and prioritize accordingly Can properly navigate obstacles and problem-solve Self-motivated who takes initiative and stays busy Is dependable and has superb follow through ______________________________________________________________________________ Highly preferred (but not required) : At least six months of similar job experience. Experience with dental, oral surgery and orthodontic coding. Can exercise a basic knowledge of dental terminology. Is able to understand and interpret x-rays and narratives. Understands the process of insurance. (claims, denials, collections)
