About the Role Specialists in Dermatology is seeking an experienced Dermatology Billing Consultant to join our team, supporting billing across UVB and Excimer phototherapy, general dermatology, SRT (Superficial Radiation Therapy), Mohs surgery, pathology, and excisions. This is an in-person, full-time position based at our main campus, working closely with our billing manager, surgery team, and providers to ensure accurate and timely claims and reimbursement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented billing professional with dermatology billing experience who is comfortable navigating a wide range of procedural and diagnostic billing scenarios. What You'll Do Manage billing for UVB and Excimer phototherapy, general dermatology visits, SRT, Mohs micrographic surgery, pathology, and excisions; review charges and claims for accuracy prior to submission; work directly with our billing manager and surgery team to resolve claim denials, discrepancies, and payer questions; verify insurance coverage, benefits, and prior authorization requirements as needed; communicate with payers to follow up on outstanding or denied claims; ensure billing practices comply with payer guidelines and CMS regulations; and assist providers and staff with billing-related documentation questions. What We're Looking For Prior experience in dermatology billing, including procedural billing (Mohs, SRT, excisions, phototherapy) preferred; certification such as CPB (Certified Professional Biller) preferred; strong attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure; excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with providers, surgical staff, and the billing manager; and the ability to work on-site, five days a week, at our main campus. Schedule & Location Full-time, on-site position, 5 days per week at our main campus: 2732 N Alvernon Way. Works directly alongside our billing manager and surgery team.
Pay:
$25.25 - $30.41 per hour
