Full Job Description Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Billing Manager, the Billing Supervisor is responsible for providing billing services at the assigned site(s).
Essential Functions:
Communicates effectively with appropriate site and fiscal personnel in a professional manner regarding assigned tasks that integrate with site processes. Supervises, directs and develops the billing associates assigned to the site(s). Problem solves and provides resolution to complex issues related to billing processes. Ensures all required billing related data elements are entered into the appropriate billing software according to established timelines. Participates in centralized month end closing activities and is responsible for the reconciliation of services performed by month and year-to-date. Performs internal audits, as needed. Accesses and interprets financial reports as needed for statistical and billing information. Supports the reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Gathers, documents, and reports billing issues or outcomes to Billing Manager in an appropriate timeframe.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
High School or general education degree (GED). Must have two years of previous administrative support experience including experience performing data entry, managing databases, processing billing/payments, or similar tasks.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience with Medical Billing Previous supervisory experience.
Position/Program Requirements:
Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the
Agency's Personnel Policy:
Motor Vehicle Operating Standards. Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the
Agency's Personnel Policy:
Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations. Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test and drug screening test. Must complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
Physical Requirements:
Have an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a residential, office or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle for traveling to recreational activities, home visits, DCFS and court locations which may be up to 100 miles driving distance.
Compensation:
$28.44 - $39.11 per hour (actual pay is dependent on verification of applicable experience that meets above the minimum requirements)
