JOB DESCRIPTION
Onsite:
4 days a week, Friday is remote.
Interview Process:
3 rounds Payrate $27-35 depending on experience
SUMMARY:
The Sr Billing Specialist owns the billing process end to end for IML division — entering Shipper BOL data into Truckmate, creating D/Rs, and producing, printing, auditing, and troubleshooting customer invoices — while partnering with Sales, IT, Pricing, Collections, and Customer Service to resolve billing issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enter and verify Shipper BOL data into Truckmate; rate shipments and check credit terms as freight bills are created
  • Approve, post, and print all invoices; research and resolve billing issues through to correction
  • Scan, match, and file paperwork to the proper back-up bill in the imaging system (Synergize)
  • Audit & validate the billing work of the offshore team.
  • Work with Sales, Collections, IT & Pricing on invoice setup, rebills, customer inquiries, and rates.
  • Assist Customer Service with quotes, pick-ups, and authorization request emails.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum 3 years related industry or billing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS 95
% of the biller's time is spent using the computer screen, keyboard, and mouse to enter data into either the Truckmate system or Synergize (Scanning system). Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
The position will require an average of forty (40) hours, with overtime required as scheduled. Associate must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must operate normal office equipment such as a phone, computer, fax machine, and copy machine
