Role:
We are seeking a Customer Accounts Specialist for our Revenue Cycle Management team, located onsite in Livermore, CA. This full-time position requires handling billing inquiries and managing outstanding patient balances. The role demands a strong understanding of medical billing, insurance, and the ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
Responsibilities:
Communicate with up to 50 patients daily via phone and email in a professional manner. Address inquiries related to patient statements, billing, and general questions. Reconcile patient accounts to ensure accuracy of statements. Interpret and explain billing statements and methodologies. Maintain accurate records of collection activities. Process requests, adjustments, and refunds efficiently. Keep management informed of any issues or concerns. Assist in monthly closing processes. Process credit card payments and monitor hardship applications. Handle correspondence and perform other related duties as assigned. Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines
Education Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of medical billing and insurance. Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting. Ability to interpret EOBs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on exceptional customer service. Strong time management skills and ability to work independently and in a team. Attention to detail and adherence to quality and productivity standards
Pay Range:
