Job Description

Job Summary:
The Insurance Data Management Specialist is responsible for supporting insurance verification, billing processes, and revenue cycle operations within a healthcare environment. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure accurate insurance data management and efficient claim processing. The position works closely with internal teams to maintain data integrity and support operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and maintain insurance information for commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans. Support billing operations and revenue cycle management activities. Review, analyze, and update insurance records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify and resolve insurance-related discrepancies and data issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support claims processing and reimbursement activities. Maintain accurate documentation and records within applicable systems. Monitor insurance eligibility and coverage information to support operational requirements. Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to improve data quality and workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance, revenue cycle management, eligibility verification, medical billing, or insurance data management. Working knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance plans. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday during designated business hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting healthcare billing and reimbursement processes. Familiarity with healthcare information systems and insurance databases. Experience handling insurance eligibility verification and claim-related activities. Knowledge of revenue cycle best practices.

Pay Range:
$26.00 - $27.00 per hour (depending on experience)
