Job Description

APS has partnered with a family-owned construction company seeking a detail-oriented, deadline-driven Billing Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate project billings, timely vendor payments, and smooth financial coordination between project managers, subcontractors, and leadership. The ideal candidate has experience in construction billing and thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
Pay Rate:
$26-$32/hr

Modesto, CA Schedule:
M-F, 8am to 5pm Requirements of the
Billing Specialist:
3+ years of experience in accounting Construction accounting experience preferred Experience with QuickBooks and MS Office High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of the
Billing Specialist:
Prepare and submit monthly progress billings Track billing deadlines and ensure submissions are complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Review contract terms to ensure compliance with billing requirements, retention, lien releases, and supporting documentation. Reconcile billed vs. paid amounts; follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies. Assist with preliminary notices, unconditional/conditional lien waivers, and compliance documents. Support month-end closing tasks including aging reports and billing logs. 11184 #IND2
