ASC Facility & Surgical Professional Billing Location:

Full-Time About Us We are a well-established private practice that has proudly served Orange County for over 25 years. Our organization includes both a physician practice and an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), allowing us to provide comprehensive surgical care to our patients. We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our revenue cycle team. This position is responsible for managing ASC facility billing while also supporting the professional (physician) billing side of our surgical practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in all aspects of the medical billing and revenue cycle process. Responsibilities Manage the complete ASC facility billing cycle, including charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, denial management and accounts receivable follow-up. Assist with professional (physician) billing related to surgical services, including claim review and follow-up. Submit accurate electronic claims to commercial insurance carriers, Medicare and other third-party payers. Review, investigate, and resolve claim denials, rejections, unpaid and underpayments. Follow up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement and maintain healthy accounts receivable. Post insurance and patient payments accurately. Verify claim accuracy and ensure compliance with payer guidelines and billing regulations. Work collaboratively with physicians, surgery coordinators, and administrative staff to resolve billing and coding issues. Maintain accurate documentation of billing activity, payer communications, follow-up efforts, and account resolution, account activity and payer communications. Identify reimbursement trends and proactively address billing issues to maximize collections. Communicate with patients through various channels regarding their financial obligations and assist with any inquiries they have. Required Qualifications Direct ASC facility billing experience is required. Experience with both facility billing and professional (physician) billing. Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and medical terminology. Experience billing commercial insurance plans and Medicare. Thorough knowledge of the medical billing and revenue cycle process. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Professional communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred. Experience using Office Ally practice management and clearinghouse software is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
