Full-time, Contract (13 weeks) Job description: InSync Consulting Services is hiring a detail-oriented Charge Capture Associate to support revenue cycle operations in a healthcare setting. This role is ideal for candidates with strong data entry skills, charge entry experience, and a solid understanding of outpatient billing processes. The Charge Capture Associate is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and entering outpatient charges accurately into the billing system while supporting billing accuracy, reimbursement, and revenue cycle efficiency.
Requirements:
Previous charge entry or medical billing experience in a healthcare setting Previous experience (0-6 mos.) of cross-communication between departments Associate's Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent related experience
High School Diploma or GED Key Responsibilities:
Enter outpatient charges accurately into the billing and revenue cycle system Review and analyze charge master activities to support accurate reimbursement Collaborate with departments to identify and code billable items correctly Work with appropriate staff to gather necessary billing information Balance charge summaries with encounter forms before updating charges Keep leadership informed of charge entry issues and workflow concerns Analyze reports and software edits to identify needed corrections and process improvements Coordinate projects and audits to improve charging accuracy, billing efficiency, and collection efforts Support revenue cycle operations by maintaining compliance with billing standards and procedures Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Continuous sitting and talking/hearing, with occasional walking, reaching, and bending. Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.50 per hour
