Thousand Oaks, CA | Full-Time | 1st Shift - 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday We are hiring for one of our big clients in the Thousand Oaks area. Our client is an established, multi-specialty primary care medical group with a longstanding tenure serving patients in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park. As the Medical Biller, you will be responsible for supporting the daily billing and insurance follow-up activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing, reviewing, and submitting medical claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid providers. Verifying patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility Reviewing and correcting claim denials, rejections, and underpayments Following up with insurance carriers on unpaid or delayed claims Posting insurance and patient payments accurately Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies and coding issues Communicating with patients regarding billing questions, statements, and payment arrangements Maintaining accurate patient and billing records in the practice management system Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and company policies

Qualifications:

1-3 years of medical billing experience, preferably in a Medical Office, a physician's office, or a hospital setting. You have a high school diploma or a higher level of education. You possess a working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding. You are familiar with insurance billing guidelines. You possess a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
